And if you wish to do some running, but weather is bad and you hate a treadmill, there is a track, with 13 to 15 laps to a mile. There is some additional equipment that you can use, such as boards, weights etc. For the swimming maniacs, the pool is great, most the time offers short course distances but varying depth. If you rather play basketball, or work on your volleyball skills, balls are available and you can do that solo or with friends, or make new friends. You can enjoy yourself in the main gym, using aerobic equipment, weights machines, do any exercise on the floor you want. If you have kids there is a family pool with slides and a number of varying depth pools suitable for any age and skill. I loved the open space main gym, running track and the pool. I went to Claude Moore Recreation Center for 5 years before moving to NC.
